To achieve its precise minerality and long finish, Miraval is crafted primarily through gentle direct pressing and cool stainless steel fermentation to preserve vibrant acidity, while a small percentage of the juice is fermented in oak barrels with lees stirring (bâtonnage) to build luxurious texture and complexity.
